Ani is a French-Moroccan artist, sharing her life between Paris, Casablanca, and Geneva. Since childhood, drawing has always been a natural, almost instinctive language for her, inherited from her father, an art lover. This heritage has established itself over time as a solid foundation of her creative identity.

But it was following a personal ordeal, marked by heart problems, that gave a new dimension to her practice: transforming it into a vital necessity, a way to express and sublimate what words could not contain.

The Electrocardiogram as Language

Ani chose to paint, to make vibrate on large canvases what constitutes the most precious thread of any existence: the heartbeat. The electrocardiogram became the matrix of her pictorial language, a vibrant texture that runs through her work. She varies its rhythms according to her emotions: long or short beats, fine or thick strokes, dark or bright. Thus, her paintings convey the truth of life in its contrasts, its phases of momentum and its moments of fall.

Her very first painting, made three years ago for her eldest sister, was a revelation. Since that day, she has never put down her brush. Her works have been selling continuously for over a year through her online gallery and social networks, reaching an international audience sensitive to her singular approach.

The first collection, 'Morocco Collection', is a tribute to her homeland. Each canvas illustrates the uniqueness of a city, its memory, its culture, and its heritage. Through this cycle, Ani summons her childhood memories and interweaves them with her present, staging in her canvases a space-time where France and Morocco intersect.

Materials & Aesthetics

In her works, space becomes a place of vibration, movement, and shimmer. The precious materials she uses such as gold leaves, suspended without being fixed create their own autonomy, illustrating the fluidity and metaphor of the 'golden heart'. Combined with the reflections of colored glass, they transform light and endlessly renew the appearance of her canvases according to the surrounding air and breath.

The artist deliberately blurs the lines: she refuses the viewer the comfort of a simplified reading of History or society. She prefers to create a sequence of emotions, a succession of reminiscences and introspections, an exaltation of the senses that compels us to embrace the world in both its lightness and its complexity.

Her works are not merely seen: they breathe, they pulsate. In painting the heart, Ani reconciles spirit and intimacy. Since a painting is perfect when it comes alive in the way you read it, she leaves you free to project your own experiences onto her canvases.
